 Renewable Local Heating is a supplementary district heating product that can be ordered by customers of both Neve  and Aurora Heat.

Renewable Local Heating is produced using 100 % renewable fuels, such as sawdust, bark, wood chips, energy wood and recycled wood. The raw materials we use are almost entirely local.

By choosing Renewable Local Heating as a supplementary product for your district heating, you’re supporting sustainable energy production! You’ll be joining us in multi-million projects through which we’re working towards making our energy production completely carbon-neutral in the long term.

Renewable Local Heating is an affordable investment in a renewable form of heating. The price of Renewable Local Heating is 0.1 c/kWh; for example: 

• for a typical detached house consuming 18 MWh per year, the additional charge would be just 18 euros per year.
• For a large block of flats consuming 600 MWh per year, the additional charge would be just 600 euros per year.

A guarantee of origin certifies renewable energy sources

Renewable Local Heat is verified by a guarantee of origin, which serves as proof to the end user that the source of Renewable Local Heat has been confirmed as renewable energy sources. We comply with the Act on Guarantees of Origin for Energy (1050/2021) in relation to renewable heat. The Finnish Energy Authority oversees compliance with the Act on Guarantees of Origin.
