Faster monitoring of consumption data
New smart electricity meters feature a home automation connection, known as a HAN (Home Automation Network) port, which enables customers to read their own electricity meter in low-voltage installations.
With the help of your service provider, you can utilise this feature in various smart electricity systems, for example. For example, you can control your home automation devices or your vehicle’s charging equipment. You’ll be able to track more easily than ever before how your actions affect your electricity consumption!
Smart electricity usage control
Following the metering reform, electricity meters are now fitted with an RJ12 connector, which allows you to access the meter’s measurement data. Older meters do not have this feature. Data can be transmitted from the meter via this connector, but it cannot be used to influence the meter’s operation or the data it contains.
The HAN port is a connector that looks like a network socket, and it is located at the bottom of the so-called communication module on the new electricity meter. The HAN port must be activated before it can be used.
Set-up
The home automation connector on the meter is disabled by default during installation. If you have already had your electricity meter replaced and wish to activate the HAN port, please place an order using the form below. We do not charge a service fee for activation.
If you do not yet have an electricity meter with a HAN port, you can request a separate meter replacement using the form below. We will charge a fee for this meter replacement in accordance with our service price list.
