Life in the North for future generations too
We take responsibility for both the environment and the wider community.
Our arctic, fragile and pristine environment is of immeasurable value to us. We want to act with respect for and care for it, so that life in the North remains possible for future generations too. That is why environmental values and the circular economy have strongly guided our operations for many years.
In all our activities, we are mindful of the environmental aspects of our operations, and, guided by the principles of continuous improvement, we work to reduce the environmental impact of our operations and prevent environmental pollution.
As part of our management systems, we set concrete annual targets to improve, amongst other things, energy efficiency, environmental impact, quality and occupational safety. Our sustainability team, comprising environmental, quality and safety experts, actively monitors the progress towards these targets. The team supports our business units in developing their operations to be more responsible, one step at a time, working together.
