Water service connection for a detached house, a semi-detached house or a holiday home

floor area of less than 400 m²

You will need a water service connection when building a new property. Depending on the property’s location, you may also be required by law to obtain sewerage and stormwater connections. These connections are provided by Napapiirin Vesi Oy in Rovaniemi area.

THE WATER SERVICE CONNECTION SUPPLY INCLUDES

  • construction of the service pipe to the boundary
  • installation of a property-specific site valve at the boundary
  • one water meter and its installation
  • assistance and advice from our experts during the construction of the connection
  • a warranty in accordance with the General Conditions for Building Contracts (YSE 1998): 2 years for defects arising during construction and 10 years for construction defects

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • obtaining any necessary planning permission
  • the costs of forest clearing or specialised techniques such as excavation, thawing of frozen ground or road underpass drilling, which the water utility will invoice
  • costs arising from additional construction work
Apply for a water connection

PRICING

The total connection fee is determined by the water connections included in the supply. These comprise domestic, waste water and stormwater connections. The connections required for the property are determined on the basis of the Water Services Act and the general terms and conditions of supply. The actual costs incurred from any additional construction or special technical requirements are added to the connection fee.

A domestic water supply contract is also drawn up in conjunction with the connection contract. You can find the basic and usage charges for water in the same price list as the connection fees.

How to order a subscription

1. Statement on the accession

Your plumbing designer will ask us for the initial information – namely, the connection statement, which will be provided within two weeks – and will then draw up the plans. You can then apply for planning permission.

2. Application for water service connection

Once a building permit has been granted, you can apply for a connection by completing the connection application form.

3. Subscription Agreement

We will be in touch with you to go through the details of the contract. We will sign the subscription agreement. The subscription will be invoiced upon signing the contract, and the payment term is one month.

4. Construction of the junction

A water connection is being installed. Water consumption during the construction work will be charged in accordance with the price list. The cost of opening the valve will also be charged.

5. Installation of a water meter

Order the installation of a water meter by completing the meter installation form.
