Compare district heating products

The total cost of district heating consists of a fixed charge (€/year) and energy charges (c/kWh).

In the Rovaniemi and Muurola areas, you can choose from four options that take into account energy efficiency, supplementary heating and monthly fluctuations in your heating bill depending on the season.

As your first district heating product, we recommend Tyyni, to which you can add the Renewable Local Heating add-on if you wish, ensuring that only fully renewable fuels are used in production.

Within the Aurora Lämpö service area in Kolari, Ylläsjärvi and Savukoski, you can choose Tyyni, to which you can add ‘Renewable Local Heating’ as an optional extra if you wish

PRICING

District heating pricing varies by municipality and depending on the district heating product you choose.

If you choose Valppa or Supervalppa as your district heating product, the summer period for the energy charge is 1 April–31 October and the winter period is 1 November–31 March.

TYYNI – MORE STABLE MONTHLY BILLS

Tyyni is a basic product for heating customers who value stability, as it reduces the month-to-month variation in the euro value of district heating bills. The fixed contract fee and lower energy charge are structured so that mild or cold winters, or the energy efficiency of your building, have less of an impact on your monthly heating bill.

VALPAS – COST BENEFITS FROM ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Valpas, which encourages energy efficiency, is the choice for the discerning district heating customer. Heating bill amounts vary, as Valpas is more closely linked to the average monthly temperature than other options. A lower fixed charge means that, should you have a mild winter, you have the opportunity to save on your heating bill.

Valpas’s pricing also takes into account energy-efficient solutions used in construction or investments in new-build properties. Valpas is also a good choice if you use multiple heat sources (e.g. a heat-storing fireplace or a solar collector). The Valpas price is valid for one year at a time. The product cannot be changed during the contract period. The Valpas district heating product is available in the Rovaniemi and Muurola areas.

SUPERVALPAS – FOR HYBRID HEATING SYSTEMS

SuperValpas is the ideal choice for district heating customers who use several alternative forms of heating. A low fixed charge and a seasonally priced energy charge give you the freedom to choose between several heating methods to suit each situation and season. The SuperValpas price is valid for one year at a time. The product cannot be changed during the contract period. The SuperValpas district heating product is available in the Rovaniemi and Muurola areas.

Add a local option to your district heating: the ‘Renewable Local Heating’ add-on

Renewable Local Heat is an add-on to district heating which you can, if you wish, combine with your chosen district heating product: Tyyne, Valpas or SuperValpas. It guarantees that renewable fuels are used in heat production, allowing you to easily reduce your own carbon footprint. Pricing is based on measured heat consumption.
