Check the route of pipes and cables before starting excavation work
Are you planning to start excavation work? Before work begins, it is important to check whether there are any electricity, district heating or water networks along the route. Order a pipe and cable survey well in advance of the excavation work. This will help you avoid any accidents or damage that may result from cables being damaged during excavation.
We want to ensure that your work proceeds as planned and safely. Please bear the following points in mind before starting any excavation work:
1. Order the cable detection service well in advance
The delivery time for the cable location service is 3–10 working days from the date of order.
Order our free cable location service for the following cables:
- Electrical cables within the distribution area of Rovaniemen Verkko Oy. (Read the Guidelines for handling cables (only in finnish).
- Electrical cables, within the distribution area of Enontekiön Sähkö Oy.
- District heating pipes, Neve Oy
- District heating pipes, Aurora Lämpö Oy

2. Avoid delays to your work
Once you have ordered a cable survey, ensure that it arrives before the planned start date of the excavation work. This will help you avoid delays and ensure your project runs smoothly.
3. Safety first
Always work safely and ensure that all necessary safety regulations and equipment are in place throughout the delivery process. Make sure that workers are aware of the safety instructions.
